The installation of the high capacity automated line for production of containerized seedlings which was purchased and delivered under the project together with specialized seed processing machines is now completed.
All the equipment was delivered and installed at Lokorsko forest nursery by the selected contractor Björkemar Construction & Consulting BCC Aktiebolag (BCC AB) from Sweden. After the installation of the delivered equipment, BCC experts trained nursery employees of SWSFE regarding the operation with the automated line and the seed processing machinery.
The operation of the automated filling and seeding line is expected to start in autumn 2018 when we plan to start the production of deciduous containerized seedlings necessary for the planned habitat restoration works within Natura 2000 sites targeted under the project.
