At project nursery has started the processing of collected seeds which will be sown in containers in the coming spring of 2019. Stored coniferous seeds are dewinged, cleaned and sorted by size with the specialized machinery delivered under the project.
All the processed seeds will be sown in containers using the automated filling and seeding line already installed at Lokorsko nursery. The necessary peat substrate with required specifications for seedling production process is already delivered from Latvia and stored at the nursery.
In March 2019 SWSFE also purchased 700 euro pallets that will be used for disposing of container trays and growing coniferous seedlings in project greenhouse.
