On 19-20.08.2019 SWSFE had a business visit from representatives of Chinese companies working in the filed of production and trade with forest reproductive materials. The objective of this visit was to exchange experience and discuss the potential for partnership for production and trade with seedlings of forest species between Bulgaria and China.
Our Chinese guests visited Lokorsko nursery where they got acquainted with the process production of containerized seedlings and respective equipment and infrastructure developed by SWSFE under the LIFEFORHAB project.
A work meeting with SWSFE experts followed during which was developed a list of Bulgarian forest species which do not occur naturally in China and might be of interest for future production and trade. The list needs to be approved by Chinese authorities after which further negotiations will follow between SWSFE and our potential Chinese partners.
